REMINDER
We will remind you that if your Dog’s rabies vaccination expires
before November 1, 2025, you must have him/her revaccinated in order to get a 2025 license, or provide us
with a written letter signed and dated from your Veterinarian stating that they will not revaccinate at this time.
The letter must be on the Veterinarian’s letterhead.
Dogs six months or
older require a license.
The resident must bring the rabies certificate,
which must be valid through October 31 of the
licensing year.
If the dog has been spayed or neutered, the
owner must show proof of same.
Free rabies clinics are held throughout the County. North Hanover's will held on
November 23, 2024 and
NO 2025 LICENSE WILL BE ISSUED AT THE CLINIC THIS YEAR. The dog license is renewable every January.
The fee is $ 12.00 for a neutered/spayed dog and $ 15.00 for non-neutered/spayed. There is a late fee of $5.00
after February 1st.
Dog licenses are sold in the Municipal Clerk's
office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30
p.m. You may mail your request with the
appropriate fee, documentation and a
self-addressed, stamped envelope which will be
returned to you with your license and tag. To

Kennel Licenses are
required for those owning ten or more dogs.

In accordance with
State Law and Township Ordinance 6-020.1, No
person shall keep or harbor any dog of licensing
age within the Township without first obtaining
a license therefore to be issued by the Township
Clerk, upon application by the owner and payment
of the prescribed fee.
